Originally from France, I have been working full time as a professional Translator and Interpreter since 2007.
I hold a B.A. in Japanese Language, Literature and Civilization (Strasbourg University), a Master's degree in Social Science (Institute of Advanced Studies in Social Science - EHESS), and am accredited by NAATI at Professional level.
When I arrived to sunny Perth after several years in Japan, I chose to start my business under the name Zen Translations and Interpreting.
Why Zen ? Because beyond Translation and Interpreting services, it is first of all peace of mind that I would like to offer my customers.
I am now on my way back to France, but I am taking with me all I have learnt from the Western Australian Institute of Translators and Interpreters (WAITI) and the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT). And of course, I will keep in touch with my wonderful Australian collegues and clients.
I am currently a co-administrator of the Freelance France Japon network (FFJ) and associate editor of its e-magazine (Eclectiques), a member of the Society of French Translators (SFT), the French Association of Literary Translators (ATLF) and the Japanese Association of Translators (JAT).
Looking forward to working with you,
Geraldine Oudin
